A week before the game, the players were given a list of 10 topics. 5 were research webpages and 5 were TV shows they were instructed to watch.

In the meeting, they would split into 2 groups. The Entertainment Group and the Research Group.

The Entertainment Group, would attempt to summarize as many of the TV Shows as they possibly can. A list of 4 keywords for each TV Show was given; and for each keyword matched they earned $1000. A possible $20,000 could be earned for their group.

The News Group would have to answer as many as 20 questions, related to the webpages they studied, within 3 minutes. Each correct answer was worth $1000 for a possible $20,000.

Each group could double their earnings by (beforehand) estimating how much their group would earn. Should they come within $3000 of what they estimated, they will double their groups earnings.

A possibility of $80,000 was at risk.
